-a <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2211 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, Paris, <br />Texas did heretofore deem it necessary and proper to apply <br />for a federal grant under the Federal Water Pollution <br />Control Act Amendments of 1972, Public Law 92 -500, and the <br />rules and regulations pursuant $hereto; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Acting City Mana r of the City of Paris <br />is H. C. Greene; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF —% <br />PARIS, That H. C. Greene, Acting City Manager of the City of <br />Paris, or his successor, be authorized to execute in behalf <br />of the City of Paris all grant applications or amendments, <br />communications, documents, assurances, notices and other <br />project related items in making application for <br />administering a grant under Public Law 92 -500 and the rules <br />and regulations pursuant thereto, and to sign the acceptance <br />of the grant, when made, and any other necessary documents <br />required to complete the project on behalf of the City of <br />Paris. <br />Passed and adopted this 11th day of October, 1982. <br />9Je Graham, Jaydo' <br />ATTEST: <br />\"-(- 0, M, tauL' <br />e N. McCollum, Acting City Clerk <br />APPROVED AS O FORM: <br />T. K. Haynes, City Attorney <br />Councilman Wilson gave a Committee report on drainage structures <br />on Fitzhugh Avenue and on 22nd N. E. at Ballard Drive. Rick Conner, <br />City Engineer, discussed techinical aspects of the structure. Council- <br />man Fisher made a motion to authorize bids for the Fitzhugh Avenue <br />structures with seperate bid items for furnishing precast culvert <br />materials and for furnishing labor for installation. Councilman <br />McGee seconded the motion which carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Councilman Wilson made a motion to authorize bids for the 22nd N. E. <br />and Ballard structures to replace the existing tin horns without <br />inlets. Councilman McGee seconded the motion which carried 7 ayes, <br />0 nays. <br />City Engineer Conner gave a report on the Sewer-Main construction to <br />the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Several alternatives for making <br />the creek crossing were presented with no decision made as to which <br />should be done. A motion was made by Councilman Wilson seconded by <br />Councilman Francis to refer this item to the Sewer Committee for <br />their recommendations. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
