MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL MARCH 1, 1982 37 /r The special meeting of the City Council of the City of Pariswas held Monday, March 1, 1982, 6:00 P. M. Mayor Burnett called the meeting to order with the following Councilmen present: W. C. Francis, Walter F. Williams, Larry McGee, Travis Wortham, and Joe Graham. Also present were City Manager R. W. Sokoll, and City Clerk, H. C. Greene. The special meeting was convened at Montgomery's Exxon Service Station Highway 82 West, Route 5, Paris, Texas. Mayor Burnett announced that the special meeting was held for the purpose of annexation of property on the south side of Highway 82 West, and Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open on the annexation. No one appeared for or against the annexation. The City Council viewed the property to be annexated and viewed a map presented by the Director of Community Development Joe McCollum of the annexated area. Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing closed at 6:10 P. M. and declared a recess for the Council to reconvene at City Hall. The Council reconvened at City Hall at 6:25 P. M. with all members present including City Attorney Haynes, and with Councilman Kohls absent. Mayor Burnett announced that the next order of business would be receipt of tabulation of bids for lights at Record Park and the following bids were presented: Watson Electric Service, Paris, Texas $3,575.00 Green's Electric Service, Paris, Texas $4,163.10 Amfac Electrical Supply, Paris, Texas $3,570.00 A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman Graham to accept the bid of Amfac Electrical Supply, Paris, Texas in the amount of $3,570.00. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Burnett called for the tabulation of bids for bleachers at Record Park and the following bids were presented: Southern Bleacher Co., Graham, Texas $1,965.00 Modlin Recreation Equipment, Inc., Arlington $1,860.00 A motion was made by Councilman McGee, seconded by Councilman Graham to accept the bid of Modlin Recreation Equipment Inc., Arlington, Texas in the amount of $1,860.00. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. Resolution No. 2145 authorizing the procurement of right -of -way easements for Johnson Park Drainage Project was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman Wortham for adoption of the Resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays.
