<br />City Manager Sokoll presented a request from Jesse Hall that his petition for
<br />re- zoning on Lot 1A, City Block 2, Fitzhugh Addition located at 1295 Fitzhugh
<br />Avenue be reconsidered. A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by
<br />Councilman Wortham to bring from the table the zoning petition of Jesse Hall.
<br />The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays.
<br />Mr. Jesse Hall appeared before the Council stating that he had purchased the
<br />adjoining property which would provide ample parking area to the General Retail
<br />District on Lot lA, Block 2, Fitzhugh Addition as required for the type business
<br />he was to operate.

<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
<br />TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID
<br />CITY; ESTABLISHING A GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR) ON LOT 1 -A, BLOCK 2, FITZ-
<br />HUGH ADDITION, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO JESSE HALL, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN
<br />TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS); AND
<br />DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR) SO ESTABLISHED.
<br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman
<br />Wortham for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays.
<br />City Attorney Haynes reviewed the Texas Power & Light Company's appeal case
<br />and presented the following Resolution.
<br />Resolution No. 2146 resolving that Earl Barcken, Jr., be commended for his
<br />presentation of the City of Paris interest in the PUC case and Travis County
<br />District Court Case, and he is hereby authorized to continue to represent
<br />the City of Paris interest in said causes. A motion was made by Councilman
<br />Graham, seconded by Councilman McGee for adoption of the Resolution. The
<br />motion carried 4 ayes, 2 nays, Councilman Francis, Councilman Wortham voting
<br />nay.
