0 <br />Ordinance No. 2333: <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT <br />THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, BE AMENDED <br />BY REVISING THE TRAFFIC- CONTROL DEVICE MAP ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH <br />(b) OF SECTION 29 -80 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT <br />TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDI- <br />NANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br />OF JULY 1, 1977." <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Stone and seconded by Councilman <br />Williams for the adoption-of the ordinance. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Ordinance No. 2334: <br />"AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING 20 MILE PER HOUR SPEED LIMITS ON CER- <br />TAIN PORTIONS OF 20TH S. E., 22ND S. E. , HUBBARD STREET, CLEVE- <br />LAND STREET, PINE BLUFF STREET, 8TH S. E., EAST SHERMAN STREET, BLAKE <br />ROAD, GRAHAM STREET AND SOUTH COLLEGIATE DRIVE; PROVIDING FOR A <br />FINE NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF- <br />ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE OF JULY 1, 1977." <br />was presented. In discussion, Councilman Philley recommended that Section 1 of the <br />ordinance be amended to read "20 MPH from 7:30 A. M. to 4 :00 o'clock P. M Coun- <br />cilman Wunsch made a motion, seconded by Councilman Malone -for the adoption of the <br />ordinance, as amended. The motion carried: 7 ayes, O nays. <br />Ordinance No. 2335: <br />"AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN BOUNDARY LIMITS <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN <br />TERRITORY CONSISTING OF 27.68 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, WHICH IS LESS <br />THAN TEN PER CENT (10 %) OF THE TERRITORY INCLUDED WITHIN ITS PRE- <br />SENT CITY LIMITS, WHICH SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND AD- <br />JOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS, AND PROVIDING ZONING FOR SAID TERRITORY." <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Williams, and seconded by Council- <br />man Fisher for the adoption of the ordinance. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Brunette stated that the next item of business was to consider approval of re- <br />commended changes to the Civil Service Rules and Regulations. Mr. Charles Casey of <br />the Civil Service Commission commented on the proposed changes to the Rules and Regu- <br />lations and recommended approval by the Council. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Fisher to approve and adopt the amended Civil Service Rules and Regulations. Coun- <br />cilman Wunsch seconded the motion which carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />The Council deferred until the July meeting an ordinance regarding change to Civil <br />Service Commission meeting schedule. <br />Mayor Brunette then called for bids regarding fuel control system and Assistant City <br />Manager Greene presented the following bids: <br />Roddy McCarrell, Paris Pump Service - Paris Texas - Total Bid $6,228.98 <br />United Pump Supply, Dallas, Texas Total Bid $6,275.00 <br />-- Assistant City Manager Greene recommended the acceptance of the low bid from Roddy <br />McCarrell in the amount of $6,228.98. <br />Resolution No. 1808, authorizing City Manager K. R. Sweatt to execute on behalf of <br />the City of Paris a contract with Roddy McCarrell d /b /a Paris Pump Service to fur- <br />nish and install three (3) New Key Control Gas Pumps, was presented. A motion was <br />made by Councilman Wunsch and seconded by Councilman Williams for the adoption of the <br />resolution. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
