E. <br />Mayor Brunette declared the public hearing open on the Revenue Sharing budget item. <br />Mr. Homer Thornton appeared in favor of leaving amounts in the Revenue Sharing budget <br />for the paving of 24th S. E. <br />Mr. Leon Williams appeared before the Council in opposition to the paving of 24th S. E._ <br />Mr. A. Woods appeared before the Council, stating that he was interested in the im- <br />provement of Blake Road as well as 24th S. E. <br />Mr. Billy Brown appeared before the Council stating he was against the 24th S. E. pro- <br />ject. <br />Mayor Brunette declared the public hearing closed. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Philley and seconded by Councilman Williams to delete 24th S. E. from the Revenue <br />Sharing budget account.. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Brunette. requested City Manager Sweatt to review recommendations of the Council <br />to delete from the Revenue Sharing budget the 7th Street N. W. improvement project <br />of the Revenue Share Fund. City Manager Sweatt advised that the Revenue Share Fund, <br />at the recommendation of the Council, had $41,600.00 deleted from the Street Im- <br />provement Account and $15,400.00 deleted from the Storm Sewer Drainage Account, both <br />for 7th Street N: W. project. <br />Mayor Brunette declared the public hearing open on the proposal of improvements to <br />7th Street N. W. <br />No one appeared for or against the proposal. <br />Mayor Brunette declared the public hearing closed. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Fisher and seconded by Councilman Philley to delete the 7th Street N. W. improvement <br />program from the Revenue Sharing budget. The motion carried. 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sweatt advised the Council that the next item on the agenda was a dele- <br />tion of certain major outfall drainage improvements as contained in Revenue Sharing <br />budget accounts - 406 -Y -6 and stated that approximately $198,546.00 was involved in <br />the Revenue Sharing budget for deletion and $100,000.00 for deletion from the General <br />Fund, also in the outfall drainage improvements project account - 406 -Y -6. Mr. Sweatt <br />advised that certain amendments could be made to the drainage improvement project out- <br />line by eliminating $248,025.00 from the southeast project and that the northeast pro- <br />ject could be reduced as well as the northwest project which contained $176,910.00. <br />Mayor Brunette declared the public hearing open on the major outfall drainage im- <br />provements as contained in the General Fund budget and in the Revenue Sharing Fund <br />budget. <br />Mr. Homer Thornton appeared before the Council, speaking as a member of the Planning <br />and Zoning Commission, stating that numerous complaints had been aired by the com- <br />mission on drainage problems in southeast Paris. <br />M one else appeared, and Mayor Brunette declared the public hearing closed on the <br />drainage improvements projects. After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman <br />Malone and seconded by Councilman Fisher to delete the $100,000.00 contained in Ac- <br />count 406 -Y -6 General Fund and reduce Revenue Sharing Fund project by eliminating the <br />
