RESOLUTION NO. 1821 .
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at its
<br />regular meeting on the 11th day of July, 1977, approve the adver-
<br />tisement for bids for furnishing all plant, labor, materials and
<br />equipment, and performing all work required for the construction
<br />of street improvements, consisting of curb and gutter, street
<br />intersection, flexible base, and hot mix wearing surface, complete
<br />_ with appurtenances, located on West Kaufman Street, between 28th
<br />S. W. and .29th S. W. , within the City of Paris, Texas, in accordance
<br />with detailed plans and specifications, dated June 1977, which bids
<br />were received until 10:00 o'clock A. M. Wednesday, August 3,
<br />1977; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction work was made
<br />by Roy Williamson Construction Company, and it should be awarded
<br />the contract for such construction work; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the form of contract to furnish such construction
<br />work is attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE, .
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />PARIS, That the bid of- Roy Williamson Construction Company,
<br />Paris, Texas, for furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equip-
<br />ment, and performing all work required for the construction of
<br />street improvements, consisting of curb and gutter, street inter-
<br />section, flexible base, and hot mix wearing surface, complete with
<br />appurtenances, located on West Kaufman Street, between 28th S. W.
<br />and 29th S: W. , within the City of Paris, Texas, within 70 calendar
<br />days, in the amount of $7, 637. 22, is hereby accepted and let, con -
<br />ditioned upon said contractor meeting all of the terms and. specifi-
<br />cations included in the bid documents; and,
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Manager of the
<br />City of Paris, Kerry R. Sweatt, be, and he is hereby authorized and
<br />directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the contract for
<br />the above described work, upon the terms and conditions and in the
<br />form .shown in Exhibit A attached hereto, with Roy Williamson
<br />Construction Company.
