A motion was made by Councilman Malone and seconded by Councilman !4illiams for approval of the resolution. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Brunette called for a tabulation of the bids for a motor scooter for the Police Department that had been received. City Manager Sweatt advised that only one bid had been received from the Watson Distributing Company, Dallas, Texas, in the amount or $4,161,00 less trade -in of $650.00 - net $3,511.00. A motion was made by Councilman Malone and seconded by Councilman Wunsch to approve the bid of the Watson Distributing Company, lie motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Brunette called for tabulation of bids on duplicating equipment for the Adminis- trative Department, and the following bids were received: Gestetner Corp. DUPLICATOR STENCIL MAKING MACHINE, M 460 1,462.50 M 420 1,102.50 M 473 2,517.50 M1100 1,828.75 Office Equipment Center Bohn Rotary RR 750 W 929.00 RR 22025 1,479.00 City Manager Sweatt recommended that the bid of the Office Equipment Center be ap- proved, conditioned on the'equipment meeting specifications and a satisfactory de- monstration. A motion was made by Councilman Wunsch and seconded by Councilman Wil- liams approving the recommendation of the city manager. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Brunette advised that the next order of business would be consideration of an ordinance previously authorized relating to the revised billing dates of Water and Sewer service charges. Ordinance No. 2345: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SUBPARAGRAPHS (a) AND (b) OF SECTION 31 -25 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR THE METHOD OF WATER AND SEWER SER- VICE BILLING; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF SEPTEMBER 1, 1977." was presented, A motion was made by Councilman Wunsch and seconded by Councilman Williams for the adoption of the ordinance. Mayor Brunette called for tabulation of bids received for an emergency rescue deck boat, motor and trailer, and the following bids were received: Bob's !Marine $4,648.50 Pick's Marine $4,155.00 The city manager recommended that the low bid of Pick's Marine in the amount of $4,155.00 be approved. A motion was made by Councilman Malone and seconded by Councilman Fisher to approve the -bid of Pick's Marine. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. 4 City Manager Sweatt presented the amended rules and regulations of the Civil Service Commission to the Council and recommended their approval, such changes to'be identifieA on sheets in the regulation as 7- 19 -77. A motion was made by Councilman Williams and seconded by Councilman Wunsch to approve the amended rules and regulations of the Civi Service Commission. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays. City Manager Sweatt presented a request from Mr. J. V. Hamilton for water service out- side the City limits from an existing City owned line on FM 79 and recommended its ap- proval with conformance to City policy and regulations. A motion was made by Council- man Williams and seconded by Councilman Fisher approving the request of Mr. Hamilton. The motion carried.- 7 ayes, 0 nays. City Manager Sweatt requested authorization to advertise for bids for approximately 500 linear feet of fencing at the fire training field. A motion was made by Councilman Wunsch and seconded by Councilman Williams approving the request. The motion carried: 7 ayes, 0 nays.
