1. That a charge of 70t per cubic yard be established as the deposit <br />fee for each cubic yard delivered to the landfill. site for the <br />purpose of defraying a portion of the operating cost to dispose <br />of such material. <br />2: That a charge of -$1.00 per tinter meter account per month with an <br />additional charge based on overall city occupancy rate per living <br />unit for multi -family accounts be established as a service fee to <br />defray portions of the capital and renovation costs associated <br />with maintaining fill sites in accordance with federal and state <br />regulations. <br />3. That current -regulations relating to commercial-haul.ing:vehicles <br />be amended to allow the use of tarpaulins as cover in addition to <br />the present means. <br />4. That an ordinance be prepared -to require secure covering of all <br />garbage trash, etc., while in transit to apply -to all garbage, <br />trash hauling,by individuals or firms. <br />Councilman -Williams -also advised that his committee.recommended-that public hearing <br />be scheduled by the City Council -for 7:00 P..M., January 17, 1977 for discussion ` <br />of the recommendation. Councilman Phiiley also noted that the committee favored <br />charges to apartments and trailer parks commensurate.with._their average occupancy. <br />Mayor Brunette called for a public hearing on.the recommendations of the Landfill <br />Study Committee at -a special meeting at 7:00 P. M., -January 17, 1977. <br />Mayor Brunette called -a public hearing open on the anti -recessionary fiscal assis- <br />tance fund: City Manager Sweatt presented_a proposed budget and requested that the <br />public hearing be continued to the special meeting called for January 17, 1977 at <br />7:00 P. M. Mayor Brunette declared the public hearing continued to January 17, <br />1977 at 7:00 P. M. <br />Mayor Brunette called for bids received for the sale of City surplus property, and <br />City Manager Sweatt recommended.that the following high bids be approved with the <br />exception of an item listed -.as a Barber Green ditching machine and that this itein <br />be retained by the City and bids be.rejected on this item: <br />Item 1.
