Mayor Fro -Tem Hinds declared the public hearing closed,. and Ordinance No. 2316: "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO.1 (MF -1) ON LOTS 25 AND 26, CITY BLOCK 222A, UPON PROPERTY OF WHICH NATHAN BELL OWNS A CURRENT OPTION, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A ONE - FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2 (SF -2); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1 (MF -1) SO ESTAB- LISHED." was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Williams and seconded by Councilman Swaim for the adoption of the ordinance. The motion carried: 5 ayes, 1 nay, Coun- cilman Fisher voting nay. Mayor Pro -Tem Hinds declared the public hearing open on the petition of Jim F.Kirby for a change in zoning from a Planned Development District, One - Family Dwelling Dis- trict No. 2, and a Multi-Family Dwelling District No. 1, to a Combination Planned Development- Shopping Center and Office Center on Lot 9, City Block 331, located on the north side of Bonham Street between 34th Street N. W. and Loop 286 N. W. Mr. Jim Kirby appeared in his behalf and stated that it was his intention to leave a 20 -foot wide strip of trees along the west side of 34th Street N. W. and-that an 8 -foot fence would be erected inside the tree line to screen the office development from residences on the east side of the street. Upon questioning, Mr. Kirby stated that he had no objection to exclude: - private = cliibs in the--zoning. Mayor Pro -Tem Hinds called for opponents to appear, and none appeared. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher and seconded by Councilman Stone for the adoption of the ordinance. The motion carried: 6 ayes, 0 nays. The final plat of Dorchester Place - Phase 1 was presented, and City Manager Sweatt recommended its approval. A motion was made by Councilman Williams and seconded by Councilman Fisher to approve the final plat subject to the stated requirements of the Director of Public Works. The motion carried: 6 ayes, 0 nays.
