Mr. Pitts has concerns that the <br />amount of foot traffic in the area between residents, Crocket school, children and <br />potential buyers will create a hazardous and unsafe situation. <br />Gary and Becky Nash, 645 Johnson Woods Drive Paris, Texas, Benjamin Alsup <br />read their letter so that it would be on record in opposition of the petition. Mr. and <br />Mrs. Nash had concerns that this type of business would decrease the market value <br />on the neighborhood. <br />Christopher Donnan, 615 Johnson Woods Drive Paris, Texas, spoke in opposition <br />of the petition. Mr. Donnan stated that we have put a lot of money into the safe <br />routes to school project and a used car lot in this location wouldn't be very safe. <br />Don Wilson, 3110 Stacy Lane Paris, Texas, spoke in opposition of the petition. Mr. <br />Wilson stated he has concerns about changing the zoning for future businesses that <br />might come in that location. <br />Walker Putnam, 495 Johnson Woods Drive Paris, Texas, spoke in opposition of the <br />petition. Mr. Putnam stated he has concerns with the entrance to Johnson Woods <br />from Clarksville Street and decrease in property values. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />Motion was made by Holland Harper, seconded by John Lee to deny the petition. Motion <br />carried 5 -0. <br />3. Public hearing and consideration of and action on the petition of Shabecka Wilson for a <br />change in zoning from a One - Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF -3) to One - Family <br />Dwelling District No. 3 (SF -3) with a Specific Use Permit (39- Mobile Home) on Lot 22, <br />City Block 297, being located at 1836 Butler Lane. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />A. Two individuals spoke in favor of the petition. <br />Shabecka Wilson, 1836 Butler Lane Paris, Texas, spoke in favor of the petition. <br />Mrs. Wilson stated she wants to bring in a new mobile home to replace the one she <br />have now. Mrs. Wilson further stated she wishes the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission would please approve this request. <br />Melba Davidson, 2750 N.W. 19' Street Paris, Texas, spoke in favor of the petition. <br />Ms. Davidson stated that she was for this item. <br />
