Mr. Talley told them that he <br />could give them 90 days to demolish it and that would give them time to decide. <br />He stated that in the past some repairs had been started but never completed. Parts <br />of the siding have been removed and there is damage to the roof covering. The <br />front of the house has old carpet on the porch. The house is secured but the roof is <br />starting to sway and the back awning has collapsed. There is a large hole in the <br />roof and deteriorated wood. There is also illegal plumbing and the foundation has <br />rotted and deteriorated wood and is sinking into the ground. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 90 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />There was discussion on the type of business this was and Mr. Talley stated he <br />believed it was a rental company. Many of the commissioners did not think that a <br />business needed 90 days. <br />Motion was made and seconded for 45 days to demolish. There is a large section of metal that has been damaged, <br />windows are open and the structure is unsecure. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: to secure in 30 days and repair the <br />property in 90 days with a civil penalty. <br />There was discussion in regards to what the repairs would consist of and any signs <br />of people being in the building. <br />Motion was made and seconded: 30 days to secure; 45 days to repair. <br />
