316 <br />Mayor Pro Tem Thomas asked to be excused due to conflict of interest. A motion <br />was made by Councilwoman Fisher, seconded by Councilman Clifford, to excuse <br />Mayor Pro Tem Thomas. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays, and Mayor Pro Tem <br />Thomas departed the Council chambers. <br />A motion was made by Councilwomen Fisher, seconded by Councilman Gray, <br />authorizing preparation of an ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1710, <br />changing the zoning from a One - Family Dwelling District No. 2 to a General Retail <br />District,on Lot 7, City Block 224. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />A motion was made by Councilwoman Fisher, seconded by Councilman Clifford, to <br />allow Mayor Pro Tem Thomas to return to the Council meeting. The motion carried <br />6 ayes, 0 nays, and Mayor Pro Tem Thomas entered the Council chambers and <br />resumed his seat at the Council table. <br />Mayor Neeley declared the public hearing open to consider the petition of Charlotte <br />Murray for a change in zoning from a One - Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF -3) to a <br />One - Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF -3) with Specific Use Permit (39), Mobile Home, <br />on Lot I.-and Lot 2, Block 1, Colonial Addition, located at 1760 W. Walker. <br />Mayor Neeley called for proponents to appear, and Charlotte Murray came forward <br />requesting that she be allow to place a mobile home on this property. Ms. Murray <br />said there is an old house on the lots that is being torn down at this time. <br />Mayor Neeley called for opponents to appear.
