376 <br />Mayor Neeley called for opponents to appear, none. appeared, and the public hearing <br />was declared closed. <br />A motion was made by Councilwoman .Fisher, seconded by Councilman Gray, <br />authorizing preparation of an ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1710 <br />changing the zoning from a One - Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) and General <br />Retail District (GR) to a Multiple Family Dwelling District No. 1 (MF -1), on Lots 2, 3, <br />4, City Block 243. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Neeley declared the public hearing open to consider the petition of the City <br />of Paris for a change in zoning from a Multiple Family Dwelling District No. 1 (MF -1) <br />to a Public Lands and Institution District (PLI), on Lot 1, City Block 152, being <br />number 829 Brame Street. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clifford to table the public hearing on the <br />petition of the City of Paris, and table Agenda Item No. 8, authorizing the preparation <br />of an ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1710 changing the zoning from a <br />Multiple Family Dwelling District No. 1 (MF -1) to a Public Lands and Institution <br />District (PLI), on Lot 1, City Block 152. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman <br />Fisher and carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Neeley declared the public hearing open on the petition of Monte Moore for <br />a change in zoning from an Agricultural District (A) to a Multiple Family Dwelling <br />District No.1 (MF -1) and Planned Development - Commercial Center (PD -a1), on part <br />of Lot 5, City Block 318, being numbered 1100 through 1300 34th Street N. E. <br />Mayor Neeley called for proponents to appear, and Monte Moore, 250 Sugar Hill <br />Road, Reno, Texas, appeared in behalf of his petition. Mr. Moore said when he <br />applied for the rezoning change, his understanding was that this is two separate <br />changes. Mr. Moore asked that these two rezoning changes be considered as <br />individual changes and requested that the City Council vote on each change <br />separately because one is Planned Development on the one acre site and the other, <br />which he wanted to change to a Single Family Dwelling District, is all the way down <br />34th N. E. Street. Mr. Moore said it was his understanding that he can drop the <br />zoning back from a Multiple - Family Dwelling District to a Single Family Dwelling <br />District without going through another thirty day waiting period. City Attorney <br />Foster advised that this is correct, it can become more restrictive but not less <br />restrictive. Mr. Moore requested the City Council to change the zoning request <br />from a Multiple Family Dwelling District to a Single Family Dwelling District on the <br />34th N. E. Street side. The lot is 120 foot deep and approximately 1,000 long. Mr.. <br />Moore said it was recommended to him to do something under Planned <br />
