After additional discussion, a motion was made by Councilman McWaters authorizing preparation amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1710 changing the zoning from an Agricultural District (A) for Single Family Dwelling District No. 2 for the residential area fronting on 34th Street N. E. The motion failed for lack of a second. A motion was made by Councilwoman Fisher to refer this matter back to the Planning and Zoning Commission for their study and recommendation. The motion was seconded by Councilman Clifford, and carried 4 ayes, 2 nays, Councilman McWaters and Mayor Neeley voting no. Mayor Neeley called for consideration of and action on preparation of an ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1710 changing the zoning from an Agricultural District (A) to a Planned Development - Commercial Center (PD -a1) on part of Lot 5, City Block 318. A motion was made by Councilman Clifford to not prepare the ordinance. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Fisher and carried 5 ayes, 1 nay, Councilman McWaters voting no. At 7:18 P. M. Mayor Neeley announced that the City Council would take a short break. Mayor Neeley reconvened the City Council meeting at 7:23 P. M. Mayor Neeley announced that the next item on the agenda was consideration of and action on authorizing the preparation. of an ordinance approving the site plan on Lots 3 and 4, Block 4, S. J. Wright's Addition located at 1825 Bonham Street. A motion was made by Councilman Clifford, seconded by Councilman Fisher, authorizing the preparation of an ordinance approving the site plan on Lots 3 and 4, Block 4, S. J. Wright's Addition. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. Councilman Clifford asked to be excused from the council meeting -due to a conflict of interest regarding the next item on the agenda. A motion was made by Councilwoman Fisher, seconded by Councilman McWaters, to excuse Councilman Clifford. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays, and Councilman Clifford departed the council chambers. Mayor Clifford called for consideration of and action on approval of the final plat of Lots 36 and 35, Block L, Lots 6 and 3, Block K, and Lots 6 and 7, Block J, Oak Creek, Part of Phase VII.
