<br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
<br />MARCH 9,1998
<br />The City Council of the City of Paris met in regular session, Monday, March 9, 1998,
<br />6:00 P. M., City Council Chamber, City Hall, Paris, Texas. Mayor Eric S. Clifford
<br />called the meeting to order with the following Council Members present: Charles
<br />Fulbright, Charlie Neeley, Alan Boyd, Kevin Gray, and Jerry L. Thomas. Also
<br />present was City Manager, Michael E. Malone, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and City
<br />Clerk, Mattie Cunningham
<br />Invocation was given by W. E. Anderson, Director of Finance for the City of Paris.
<br />City Manager Malone presented the minutes from the Planning and Zoning
<br />Commission at their meeting held March 2, 1998, and they are attached hereto as
<br />Exhibit A to these minutes.
<br />City Manager Malone announced that the next item on the agenda, public hearing to
<br />consider the petition of Hayden Swaim for a change in zoning from a One - Family
<br />Dwelling District No. 3 (SF -3) to a Planned Development (PD -b) Housing Development
<br />or Community Unit Development District, Lots 1, 3, 4, Block B. Summerwood Estates
<br />and Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, Block B, Summerwood Estates, and advised this item had been
<br />tabled at the February 5, 1998 meeting, and a motion to bring this item from the table
<br />` is required.
<br />A motion was made by Councilman Neeley, seconded by Councilman Gray to bring
<br />the public hearing ow the petition of Hayden Swaim for a change in zoning from a
<br />One - Family Dwelling district No. 3 (SF -3) to a Planned Development (SF -3) to a
<br />Planned Development (PD -b) Housing Development or Community Unit Development
<br />district, Lots 1, 3, 4, and 5, Block A, Summerwood Estates and Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4,
<br />Block B, Summerwood Estates, from the table. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays.
<br />Mayor Clifford requested that he be excused from the council meeting, and a motion
<br />was made by Councilman Thomas, seconded by Councilman Fulbright to excuse
<br />Mayor Clifford. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays, and Mayor Clifford announced
<br />that Councilman Boyd would be conducting the meeting.
<br />Councilman Boyd declared the public hearing open to consider the petition of Hayden
<br />Swaim for a change in zoning from a One - Family Dwelling district No. 3 (SF -3) to a
<br />Planned Development (PD -b) Housing Development or Community Unit Development
<br />district, Lots 1, 3, 4, and 5, Block A, Summerwood Estates and Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4,
<br />Block B, Summerwood Estates.
