City Council Meeting <br />March 10, 1997 <br />Mayor Clifford asked that he be excused due to conflict of interest. A motion was made by <br />Councilman Boyd, and seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Fulbright to excuse Mayor Clifford from <br />the council meeting. The motion carried 4 ayes, 0 nays, and Mayor Clifford departed the <br />council chambers. <br />A motion was made by Councilwoman Elder for approval of the Replat of Lots 1, 9, and 10, <br />Block K of Oak Creek Phase V, and the Replat of Lot 38, Block L of Oak Creek Phase V, the <br />Final Plat of Lot 2, Block K of Oak Creek Phase VII, and the Final Plat of Lot 37, Block L of <br />Oak Creek Phase VII subject to the recommendations of the City Engineer and a requirement <br />that the plats not be signed until the Engineer issues a memorandum stating that all the <br />requirements have been met. The motion was seconded by Councilman Neeley, and carried <br />4 ayes, 0 nays. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Neeley, seconded by Councilman Boyd to allow Mayor <br />Clifford to return to the council meeting. The motion carried 4 ayes, 0 nays, and Mayor <br />Clifford returned to the council chambers and assumed his seat at the council table. <br />Mayor Clifford asked if there were any corrections to the minutes of previous meeting, there <br />being none, the minutes were approved as presented. <br />City Manager Malone announced that the next item on the agenda was receipt of reports from <br />Committees, Boards, and Commission, and the minutes from the Paris Public Library Advisory <br />Board, Paris Economic Development Corporation, and Planning and Zoning Commission had <br />been furnished to the Council with no action being required. <br />City Manager Malone advised the Council that the Electrical Board had met and they are <br />recommending to the Council that the 1996 National Electrical Code be adopted. <br />City Manager Malone called for consideration of and action on authorizing the preparation of <br />an ordinance adopting the 1996 National Electrical Code by amending Section 11 -43 and 11- <br />69, and adding Section 11 -115 to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris. <br />A motion was made by Council Neeley, seconded by Councilman Boyd authorizing preparation <br />of an ordinance adopting the 1996 National Electrical Code by amending Section 11 -43 and 11- <br />69, and adding Section 11 -115 to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris.
