Mayor Pro Tem Fulbright declared the public hearing open on the <br />petition of Robert Joe Johns for a change in zoning from a One Family <br />Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a Planned Development District B <br />(PD -b) on Lot 5B, City Block 259, being number 2601 E. Cherry. <br />Councilman Bell requested that he be excused due to a conflict of <br />interest. A motion was made by Councilman Hunt, seconded by Councilman <br />Jenkins to excuse Councilman Bell. The motion carried 4 ayes, 0 nays, <br />and Councilman Bell departed the Council chambers. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Fulbright called for proponents to appear and Mr. Robert <br />Joe Johns, 570 Timberbrook, spoke in favor of the zoning change. <br />Telling the Council that his plan is to construct two structures which <br />one of those would be a duplex. Mr. Johns pointed out that there are <br />duplexes in the area. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Fulbright called for opponents to appear, none appeared, <br />and the public hearing was declared closed. <br />City Manager Malone called for consideration of and action on <br />authorizing the preparation of an ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance <br />No. 1710 changing the zoning from a One Family Dwelling District No. 2 <br />to a Planned Development District b on Lot 5B, City Block 259. A <br />motion was made by Councilman Hunt, seconded by Councilman Jenkins <br />authorizing preparation of an ordinance to be presented at the next <br />regular Council meeting. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Jenkins, seconded by Councilman Hunt to <br />allow Councilman Bell to return to the Council meeting. The motion <br />carried 4 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Fulbright declared the public hearing open on the <br />petition of Robert Joe Johns for a change in zoning from a One Family <br />Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a Two Family Dwelling District (2F) <br />on Lots 1, 2, and 3, Block A of the Ridgecrest Addition, being number <br />525, and 545 26th Street N. E. <br />Councilman Bell requested that he be excused due to a conflict of <br />interest. A motion was made by Councilman Hunt, seconded by Councilman <br />Jenkins to excuse Councilman Bell.
