Vti <br />District No. 2 (SF -2) to a General Retail District (GR) on Lots 1, 2, <br />3, and 4, Block 1, Lamar Terrace Addition located at 2246 Lamar Ave. <br />Mayor Fisher called for proponents to appear, and R. P. Woodby appeared <br />in behalf of his petition telling the Council he proposed to buy the <br />house and lot at this location, move the house off, and build a office <br />building. <br />Mayor Fisher called for opponents to appear, none appeared, and the <br />public hearing was declared closed. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Jim Bell, seconded by Councilman <br />Shelton authorizing preparation of an ordinance to be presented at the <br />next regular council meeting changing the zoning from a One Family <br />Dwelling District No. 2 to a General Retail district on Lots 1, 2, 3, <br />and 4, Block 1, Lamar Terrace Addition. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 <br />nays. <br />Mayor Fisher declared the public hearing open on the petition of Bobby <br />Smallwood for a change in zoning from a Commercial District (C) to a <br />Commercial District (C) and Specific Use Permit - Auto Fuel Sales (49) <br />on Lot 12, City Block 321 located at the intersection of F. M. 195 and <br />Spur Hwy. 138. <br />Mayor Fisher called for proponents to appear, and Bobby Smallwood, 3015 <br />Margaret Street, was present telling the Council that a convenience <br />store was proposed for the property, which was already zoned <br />Commercial, and that the owner was requesting a Special Permit for Auto <br />Fuel Sales. <br />Mayor Fisher called for opponents to appear, none appeared, and the <br />public hearing was declared closed. <br />A motion was made by Councilwoman McDonald, seconded by Councilman John <br />Bell authorizing preparation of an ordinance'amending Zoning Ordinance <br />No. 1710 changing the zoning from a Commercial District (C) to a <br />Commercial District (C) and Specific Use Permit - Auto Fuel Sales (49) <br />on Lot 12, City Block 321, to be presented at the next regular Council <br />meeting. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone announced that the next item on the agenda was <br />consideration of and action on Councilman Jim Bell's continued service <br />on the Paris City Council, and this item was tabled at the March 24, <br />1994, meeting. Should the Council wish to consider this matter, a <br />motion to bring this item from the table is required. <br />Councilman Shelton told the Council that he thought we have an <br />agreement with Councilman Bell, and would like to have a continuation <br />until we have a ruling by the Attorney General. Councilman Shelton <br />said the letter was prepared, and it is a good one. <br />Councilman Jim Bell requested a few minutes to consult with his <br />attorney. <br />
