A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilwoman Ingram to bring the above item from the table. The motion carried 4 ayes, 2 nay, Councilman Burnett, and Mayor Fisher voting nay. City Manager Malone advised the Council that City Attorney Haynes has prepared an Ordinance following discussioh with Mr. Hall that would change the zoning to Commercial with restriction, and this is acceptable with Mr. Hall. City Attorney Haynes read the following caption: An ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas and changing the Boundaries established by the Zoning Map of said City; establishing a Commercial district (C) save and except Club, Private Club, Dance Hall, Pool Hall or Alcohol Consumption which are expressly prohibited and Auto Repairs which will only be allowed inside a building located on premises on Lots 1 and 2, Block 2, Fitzhugh Addition, on property belonging to Jesse Hall. Councilman Shelton asked if this is agreeable with the Paris Housing Authority. City Attorney said he believes this meets their requirements. Mr. Rios has reported to us about the meeting with the Neighborhood Group from the Housing Projects, and feels this will meet all the objections they had. City Manager Malone told the Council that the last recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission was Neighborhood Service District, and it would take a 3/4 vote of the Council to pass the amended ordinance. A motion was made by Councilman Shelton, seconded by Councilman Bell authorizing preparation of an ordinance as amended. The motion carried 5 ayes, 1 nay, Councilman Fisher voting nay. A motion was made by Councilman Shelton, seconded by Councilman Bell authorizing preparation of an ordinance setting the public hearing on the proposed annexation of property belonging to Kimberly -Clark Inc. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Shelton authorizing preparation of an ordinance amending the Code of Ordinances by revising Section VIII of Appendix B, Paragraph F increasing the minimum size lateral line for the sewage collection system in the Subdivision Regulations.
