It was pointed out that there would be no noise at night
from the auto repair, noise was one of their complaints.
Mayor Fisher said that he would like to see Mr. Hall get the zoning
that is needed to accomplish his plans, but hated to see the
neighborhood go to a Commercial zoning in a neighborhood residential
area. If Mr. Hall would agree to have put in the ordinance that there
would not be any noise after 9:00 P. M.
Jesse Hall appeared before the Council stating that he would not agree
to that that his business was being stereotyped, and felt that if he
could not do the work between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P. M., then we need to
let it go.
After further discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Shelton,
seconded by Councilman Bell for adoption of the ordinance. The motion
failed with a 4 ayes, 2 nays, Councilman Burnett and Mayor Fisher
voting nay.
ORDINANCE NO. 93 -011
AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR PUBLIC HEARINGS BEFORE
THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PARIS AND THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND APPROPRIATE ZONING
UPON ANNEXATION, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH
NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARINGS
