Freddie Swaim, Chairman <br />2. Billy Joe Burnett <br />3. Mike Copeland <br />4. Reeves Hayter <br />5. Kyle Perry <br />Also present were T.K. Haynes, City Attorney, Earl Smith, City Engineer <br />and Joe McCollum, Director of Community Development. <br />Chairman Swaim called the meeting to order and the minutes of January <br />3, 1989 were approved as presented. <br />Chairman Swaim declared the, public hearing 'open on the petition of <br />Travis Grayson for a change in zoning from a One Family Dwellin <br />District No. 2 (SF -2) to' a One Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF -3} <br />and Specific Use Permit = Mobile Home (39) on Lot 4, City Block 175 -A <br />located at 1195 E. Grove Street. <br />Mr. Grayson was present and told the Commission that he had removed the <br />old house and cleaned. this_ lot up about two years ago. He said he <br />would like to move a 1981 model mobile home on the property for rental <br />purposes. He said .he owned the house next door on the east also. He <br />pointed out that the mobile home has wood siding . and pitched <br />composition roof and would be an improvement to the area. <br />No qne else was present to speak on the matter and the public hearing <br />was closed. <br />The Commission noted that a similar request had been granted just a few <br />lots east of this and that there were several mobile homes within a two <br />block area. <br />Following discussion Mr. Burnett made a motion to recommend approval of <br />the petition. Mr. Perry seconded the motion which carried 5 ayes, 0 <br />nays. <br />Chairman Swaim opened the public hearing to consider closing the alleys <br />in Block 2 of Anita Park Addition. <br />No one was present to speak on the matter. <br />Mr. McCollum advised the Commission that a petition signed by all the <br />property owners abutting the two alley ways had been presented to the <br />City Council requesting them to be abandoned and a recommendation was <br />needed from the Planning and Zoning Commission.
