W <br />796 <br />PAGE 3 <br />Following discussion a motion was made by Mrs. Smith, seconded by Ms. <br />Ausbie to recommend approval of the change. The motion carried 6 ayes, <br />2 nays. Mr. Burnett and Mr. Copeland voted nay. <br />Chairman Swaim declared the public hearing open.to consider a change in <br />zoning from an Agricultural District (A) to a Commercial District (C) <br />on Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 11, City Block 315 -A located on the <br />north side of Lamar Avenue east of 46th N.E. <br />Mr. McCollum advised the Commission that the lots involved were annexed <br />to the City several years ago and no permanent zoning had been <br />established on them. All the lots, he said, were being used for <br />commercial purposes and that Commercial Zoning is recommended for them. <br />No one else spoke on the matter and the public hearing was closed. <br />Following discussion, a motion was made by Mr. Burnett, seconded by -Mr. <br />Copeland to recommend approval of the zoning. The motion carried 8 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />The Replat of Lots 4 and 5, East Park Center was recommended for <br />approval on a motion by Mr. Hayter, seconded by Mrs. Smith subject to <br />the exceptions listed in City Engineer's Memorandum dated January 3, <br />1989, marked Exhibit A and attached hereto. Mr. Hayter's motion also <br />included encouragement of the City Council to proceed with drainage <br />plans for the ditch along the east side of this ;property so that funds <br />deposited by the developer can be used to A mprove that portion of the <br />ditch through this lot. The motion carried 8 ayes, 0 nays. <br />The Preliminary Plat of Greewood Village, Phase 1 was tabled on a <br />motion by Mr. Burnett, seconded by Ms. Ausbie, pending resolution of <br />the exceptions listed in City Engineer's Memorandum, dated January 3, <br />1989, marked Exhibit B and attached here to. The motion carried 8 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />In connection with the Greenwood Village Plat, a lengthy discussion was <br />held concerning fire hydrant requirements on developments outside the <br />City Limits served by LCWS water mains. The consensus being that new <br />water mains installed should be to City Specifications and that fire <br />hydrants should be installed at locations to give the required coverage <br />as stated in the Subdivision Regulations. <br />There being no further business to consider, the meeting was adjourned. <br />N.
