M. Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas. Mayor Eric <br />S. Clifford called the meeting to order with the following Councilmen <br />present: Curtis S. Fendley, Travis Wortham, Marshall H. Kent, Jr., <br />E.W. (Bill) Booth, William, E. (Bill) Davidson, and Rondie Williams. <br />Also present was City Manager, Michael E. Malone, City Attorney, T. K. <br />Haynes, and City Clerk, Mattie Cunningham. <br />Prayer was offered by Lorenzo Johns, Associate Minister, Immanuel <br />Baptist Church. <br />Mayor Clifford asked if there were any corrections to the minutes of <br />previous meeting, there being none, the minutes were approved as <br />presented. <br />City Manager Malone advised that minutes of the Building Hazard <br />Inspection Committee had been furnished with no action being required <br />at this time, that. a public hearing was scheduled for later in the. <br />meeting., <br />Mayor Clifford informed the Council that a request has been made by the <br />Airport Advisory Board, noted in their minutes dated January 31, 1989, <br />to consider authorizing the Airport Advisory,Board Chairman and the <br />Director of Community Facilities to approach local industries to <br />seekcontributions.to support the installation of an automatic weather <br />station (AWOS) facility at Cox Field. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman Booth <br />authorizing the Airport Advisory Board Chairman and the Director of <br />Community Facilities to approach local industries seeking financial <br />assistance in installing a automatic weather station (AWOS) facility at <br />Cox Field Airport. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone advised the Library Advisory Board minutes had been <br />furnished, with no action being required. <br />City Manager Malone announced the next item on the agenda was <br />consideration of and action on authorizing 'the preparation of an <br />ordinance revising the Traffic - Control Device Map providing for a stop <br />sign on West Provine at 4th Street N. W. stopping East and West bound <br />traffic on Provine at 4th Street as recommended by the Traffic <br />Commission. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Booth, seconded by Councilman Wortham <br />authorizing preparation of an ordinance revising the Traffic- Control <br />Device Map providing for a stop sign on West Provine at 4th Street N. <br />W. stopping East and West Bound traffic on Provine at 4th Street. The <br />motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Attorney Haynes advised that there was action needed on old <br />business, and presented a petition for rezoning for Becky McDowell, <br />
