Executive Director - Paris Housing Authority, part of Lot 2, City Block <br />339, and advised Ms. McDowell had answered the four questions on the <br />application as yes. <br />Mayor Clifford referred the petition to the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission for their study and recommendation and called for a public <br />hearing for March 9, 1989. <br />Mayor Clifford declared the public hearing open on property determined <br />by the Building Hazard Inspection Committee to be a fire hazard and /or <br />dilapidated or dangerous structure and /or a nuisance. <br />Mike Alexander, Code Enforcement Office, and Rick Evans Fire Marshal <br />appeared before the Council showing a video of each structure with <br />discussion as follows: <br />401 E. Garrett Street, Lot 1, Block 4, Washington Heights. Mr. <br />Alexander told the Council the house is vacant, has been burned and is <br />in need of major repair. The building was declared dilapidated and <br />ordered removed within 30 days. <br />2264 - 2300 -2328 N. Main Street, Lot 9, Block 250, Old 271 Motel. Mr. <br />Alexander advised the buildings are vacant and in need of major repair <br />and was declared dilapidated and ordered removed within 30 days. A <br />demolition permit has been issued. <br />2330 N. Main Street, Lot 10, Block 250. Mr. Alexander advised this <br />building was the old Dr. Petter Bottling Company, frame and brick <br />construction and is vacant. The Committee declared the building <br />dilapidated giving the owner 30 days to present plans to repair or <br />demolish. Mr. Alexander said that a demolition permit has been made, <br />and the demolishing is in progress. <br />264 S. Main Street, Lot 6, Block 178A. The Committee declared the <br />building hazardous and order immediate action to secure the building <br />within 30 days and with one year to sell and present complete plans to <br />restore, if building is not sold within one year, it is to be <br />demolished. Mr. Alexander said this structure had been check today, <br />and is in reasonable repair, locked doors, is secure except for one <br />door that needs securing in the back. <br />214 1st S. W., Lot 1, Block 177A, Nahas Building. The Committee <br />declared the building hazardous and order removal in accordance with <br />existing demolition permit. Mr. Alexander advised that the demolition <br />is 50% complete. <br />306 -324 Clarksville Street, Lot 1, Block 183. Mr. Alexander advised <br />this building was in need of repair to front wall and plate glass. The <br />Committee gave owners 30 days to make building secure and that the <br />building will be restored when sold. Mr. Alexander reported the <br />building has been secured and the hazard has been removed. <br />1244 Church Street, Lot 3, Block 158A. Mr. Alexander reported this <br />building was in need of securing openings and removal of tanks of <br />J'• <br />
