01 <br />Mayor Pro Tem Hoog called for opponents to appear and none appeared and <br />the public hearing was declared closed. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Williams to accept the recommendation <br />of the Planning and Zoning Commission to approve the zoning change. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Burnett and carried 3 ayes, 2 <br />nays, Councilman Wilson and Councilman Folmar voting no. <br />Joe McCollum, Director of Community Development presented the final <br />plat of the Meadow Park - Phase III. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Wilson, seconded by Councilman Burnett approving the final plat of the <br />Meadow Park - Phase III subject to the requirements of the City <br />Engineer. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mr. McCollum presented the final plat of Lot 2 -C and part of Lot 3, <br />City Block 313. A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by <br />Councilman Williams approving the final plat of Lot 2C and Part of Lot <br />3, City Block 313 subject to the requirements of the City Engineer. <br />The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Attorney Haynes presented the following petitions for rezoning: <br />Danny Easley, Lot 21, City Block 83 from SF -2 District to SF -3 $ <br />Specific Use Permit District; John Clay, Lot 24, City Block 160 from a <br />Two Family Dwelling District to Light Industrial District. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Hoog referred the petitions to the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission for their study and recommendations and called for a public <br />hearing at the next regular Council meeting. <br />Mayor Pro Te.m Hoog called for consideration and action on a variance in <br />parking space designed to allow construction of three handicapped <br />parking spaces at 400 W. Sherman. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Burnett, seconded by Councilman Wilson authorizing preparation of an <br />Ordinance granting a variance in parking space for three handicapped <br />parking spaces at 400 W. Sherman Street. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 <br />nays. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Hoog called for the canvas of the returns of the City's <br />General Election held April 5th 1986 for electing the Councilmen from <br />District No. 1, 2, 3, and 6. The returns were presented to Mayor Pro <br />Tem Hoog and were read aloud. <br />Resolution No. 86 -030 declaring the results of the election for <br />District No. One, District No. Two, District No. Three, and District <br />No. Six was presented.. A motion was made by Councilman Williams, <br />seconded by Councilman Wilson for adoption of the Resolution. The <br />motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
