i <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />February 24, 1986 <br />51 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met in special session, Monday,. <br />February 24, 1986, 5:15 P. M. Mayor Fisher called the meeting to order <br />with the following Councilman present: Walter F. Williams, Billy J. <br />Burnett, Jeff Hoog, Mike Folmar, Donald 6. Wilson, and W. C. Francis. <br />Also present was City Manager, David H. Doty, City Attorney, T. K. <br />Haynes, Director of Finance, W. E. Anderson, and City Clerk, Mattie <br />Cunningham. <br />Mayor Fisher announced that the special Council meeting was called for <br />the purpose of and action on Resolutions. <br />Mayor Fisher called for a Resolution approving Plans and Specification <br />and authorizing advertisement for bids for the construction of a 33" <br />Treated Water Pipeline. <br />John Buss, Director of Engineering appeared before the Council and <br />discussed the purpose of the treated water pipeline, and the important <br />of being able to transmit more water into town. After further <br />discussion, <br />Resolution No. 86 -017 authorizing the preparation of plans and <br />specifications for a 33" Treated Water Pipeline Project from City of <br />Paris Lake Crook Water Treatment Plant South to Campbell Soup Plant was <br />presented. A motion. was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by <br />Councilman Williams for adoption of the Resolution. The motion carried <br />6 ayes, 1 nay, Councilman Francis voting nay. <br />
