. ?r <br />9 (t <br />?s . <br />� yr <br />City Attorney Haynes presented the following zoning referrals: Eugene <br />Lancaster, Lot 5, City Block 5, Springlake Addition from SF -2 to 2F; <br />David Glass, two tracts off Highway 195 from SF -2 to GR and from GR & <br />SF -2 to MF -1; Ann McKnight and Williams Vaughn 25 acre tract from A <br />& LI to MF -1; St. Joseph's Hospital, Pt of Lot 8 & 9, City Block 4, <br />Felts, Foct & Varner Addition from 2F to Office; Department of High- <br />ways and Public Transportation, Lot 22, City Block 309 from A to <br />PLI; Terrell Boyd, Lot 1, City Block 287 from SF -2 to GR; John <br />Hutching, et al, Lots 15, 16, 17, & 18, City Block 296 from 0 & SF -2 <br />to GR. <br />Mayor Graham referred the zoning requests for public hearing and <br />recommendations by the Planning and Zoning Commission February 7, <br />1983 and public hearing before the City Council on February 14, 1983. <br />Mayor Graham announced the Council could next consider the renewal of <br />the following permits for Cox Field Operations: Randall Stevens, <br />Agricultural Operations; Paris Flight Center - Pilot Training and <br />Leasing; Austin Ellis - Pilot Training; Roger Boxwell - Maintenance <br />Air Frame and Power Plant; and Jim Tapley — Agricultural Operations. <br />Councilman Fisher made a motion to renew the permits. Councilman <br />Wilson seconded the motion which carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Graham announced the next item was to <br />rates on hangers at Cox Field at $75.00 per <br />and $45.00 per month for open hangers. Fol <br />about airport operations, a motion was made <br />adopt the recommended hanger rental rates. <br />the motion which carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />consider setting rental <br />month for closed hangers <br />lowing a general discussion <br />by Councilman Wilson to <br />Councilman McWaters seconded <br />George Harris, 567 Pine Bluff, addressed the Council and requested an <br />extension of time to make repairs to the house located at 816 East <br />Washington Street which had been declared dilapidated and ordered to <br />be repaired or demolished by December 15, 1982. He stated he did not <br />receive the written notice of the December 15th deadline, but could <br />have the repairs completed by March 15, 1983 as originally recommended <br />by the Building Hazard Inspection Committee. Following discussion, <br />Councilman Williams made a motion to extend the time until April 1, 1983. <br />Councilman Wilson seconded the motion which carried 6 ayes, 1 nay, Mayor <br />Graham voting nay.. <br />Acting City Manager Greene presented the petition of the First Baptist <br />Church requesting the City to abandon the South 70 feet of a 30' wide <br />deadend alley which runs south from Kaufman Street between 3rd S. E. <br />and 5th S. E. Councilman Fisher made a motion to refer the matter to <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission and call for a.public hearing for <br />the next regular Council meeting on February 14, 1983. Councilman <br />McGee seconded the motion which carried 7 ayes, O nays. <br />Authorization was requested by the Acting City Manager to advertise <br />for bid proposals for City Depository for a two (2) year 'period <br />beginning March 1, 1983. A motion was made by Councilman Wilson, <br />seconded by Councilman Francis to authorize the request of the Acting <br />City Manager. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
