40*MMWWMWAW_4zc�� —1 11 <br />Mr. Mark Jones appeared before the Council requesting waiver of curb <br />and gutter and specifications on streets for a sub - division planned <br />outside the City limits, and in the extra territorial jurisdiction. <br />Mr. Jones stated that the street would have a 6 inch base with a two <br />inch topping of asphalt, a 6 inch water line would be provided for <br />fire protection, and stated that some of the lots would havea 750 <br />foot front. After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman <br />McWaters, seconded by Councilman Fisher to refer back to the staff <br />for further recommendations as to lot sizes. The motion carried 4 <br />ayes, 3 nays, Councilman Williams, Councilman McGee, and Councilman <br />Francis voting nay. <br />City Manager Doty requested the Council to set a meeting to interview <br />Engineering Firms for the preparation of the City Solid Waste Transfer <br />Station. Mayor Graham set the meeting for the 18th at 5:15 P. M. <br />Mayor called for the tabulations of bids for two 10,000 gallons under- <br />ground fuel tanks to be installed in the service area, and the <br />following bids were presented: <br />Smith Tank $5,826.28 Delivery Time 14 days <br />Paris Pump $6,200.00 10 days <br />Chenco Inc. $5,998.00 14 days <br />Dallas Pump Sev & Sup. $5,344.20 30 days <br />A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman Williams <br />to accept the low bid of the Dallas Pump Service & Supply Company in <br />the amount of $5,344.20. GREENE, CITY CLERK <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />April 13, 1983 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met in special session, Wednesday, <br />April 13, 1983 7:00 P. M. Mayor Graham called the meeting to order <br />with the following Councilmen present: W. C. Francis, Donald G. <br />Wilson, Gene McWaters, George Fisher, Larry McGee, and Walter F. <br />Williams. Also present were City Manager Doty, City Attorney, <br />T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk, H. C. Greene. <br />I <br />Mayor Graham announced that the meeting was called for the purpose <br />of canvassing the returns of the election held on April 2, 1983, <br />and in compliance with the City Charter. <br />Mayor Graham called for the canvass of the returns of the Election <br />and returns from Ward Four, Five and Seven were presented. <br />Resolution No. 83 -019 declaring Joe Graham elected in Ward Four, <br />Nathan J. Bell in Ward Five, and Jeff Hoog elected in Ward Seven <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded <br />by Councilman Williams for adoption of the Resolution. The motion <br />carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
