MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL April 18, 1983 The City Council of the City of Paris met in special session, Wednesday, r-. April 18, 1983, 7:00 P. M. Mayor Graham called the meeting to order with the following Councilmen present: Donald G. Wilson, Gene McWaters, Jr., Walter F. Williams, George Fisher, Jr., Nathan J. Bell, Jeff Hoog. Also present were City Manager David H. Doty, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, Director of Public Works, Dan Brotton, and Roy Luttrell, Sanitation Supervisor. In the absent of H. C. Greene, City Clerk, a motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman Hoog to appoint City Manager Doty as Acting City Clerk for purposes of the meeting of April 18, 1983. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. A motion was made by Councilman McWaters, seconded by Councilman Fisher to go into a workshop to interview potential Consultants for the Solid Waste Project now under way in the City of Paris. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. Representives of Black and Veatch Consulting Engineers, HDR Consulting Engineers, and Hunter Associates Consulting Engineers appeared before the Council and discussed their firms willingness and expertise in performing the duties of Consulting Engineer for the City of Paris for the Sanitation Transfer Station Project. A motion was made by Councilman Wilson, seconded by Councilman Bell to go into executive session for the purpose of discussing personnel policies. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. The regular session was declared closed and the executive session open. Personnel policies and personnel were discussed. The executive session was declared closed and the regular session open.
