Resolution No. 2108 appointing Susie Deupree to serve the unexpired term of <br />David Thomas which ends June 30, 1982, and the appointment of Loren Stephens <br />and the re- appointment of Mickey Flippen and A. R. Martin as members of the Parks <br />and Recreation Board for a term of three years beginning July 1, 1981 and ending <br />June 30, 1984 was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded <br />by Councilman Graham for adoption of the Resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, <br />0 nays. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2108 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did in <br />Resolution No. 1876 establish the Parks and Recreation Board to <br />consist of nine (9) members, with staggered initial appointments as <br />follows: Three (3) members for one year terms, three (3) mem- <br />bers for two year terms and three (3) members for three year <br />terms, and thereafter all appointments to be for three year terms <br />with partially completed terms being filled for the remainder of <br />said terms; and, <br />WHEREAS, David Thomas has resigned as a member of the <br />Parks and Recreation Board, and the terms of office of Julann Boatner, <br />Mickey Flippen and A. R. Martin, as members of said Board, will <br />oxpire on June 30, 1981, and the Mayor of the City of Paris, <br />Billy Joe Burnett, having appointed Susie Deupree to serve the unex- <br />pired term of David Thomas, which ends June 30, 1982, and having <br />appointed Loren Stephens and re- appointed Mickey Flippen and <br />A. R. Martin for a term of three (3) years, beginning July 1, 1981 <br />.Znd ending June 30, 1984, and has submitted the names of such <br />persons to the City Council of the City of Paris; NOW, TIIEREFORE, j <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OIL TIIE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That the appointment of Susie Deuprec, to serve the unexpired <br />term of David Thomas, which ends June 30, 1982, and the appointment <br />of Loren Stephens and the re- appointments of Mickey Flippen and <br />A. R.
