Mayor Burnett called for a previously authorized Ordinance replacing yield signs with stop signs on 17th Street N. E. at East Tudor. ORDINANCE NO. 2589 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS BE AMENDED BY REVISING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE MAP ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH (b) OF SECTION 29 -80 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF OCTOBER 1, 1981. was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Wortham, seconded by Councilman Williams for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays, Councilman Francis not voting. ORDINANCE NO. 2590 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, OF THE CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING THE TRAFFIC PARKING MAP ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH (b) OF SECTION 29 -112 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR HANDICAPPED PARKING ZONES; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF OCTOBER 1, 1981. was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman McGee for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. The 1981 property tax roll was presented showing a total tax of $1,477,918.51. motion was made by Councilman Graham, seconded by Councilman Williams for approval of the 1981 tax roll. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. City Manager Sokoll presented a request fron the Wall Concrete Company for an exception to the Driveway Ordinance No. 1565 allowing a wider driveway at 200 Block of Paris Blvd. City Engineer, Rick Conner, appeared before the Council recommending the approval of the exception and also recommending a study of the Ordinance in question and the presentation of an amendment to the Ordinance if advised. A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman Graham authorizing the exception to the Ordinance to the Wall Concrae Company. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. A motion was made by Councilman Graham, seconded by Councilman McGee authorizing a study of Ordinance No. 1565 and presentation of an amendment to the Ordinance if the study produces one. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. Resolution No. 2121 appointing Larry Loven as a member of the Library Advisory Board to serve the unexpired term of Richard Giles was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Graham, seconded by Councilman Wortham for adoption of the Resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays.
