Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open on the petition of Clyde Gray for a change in zoning from a Two Family Dwelling District to a Commercial District on Lot 27, City Block 4, Gibbons Park Addition, located at 923 Cedar Street. Mayor Burnett called for proponents to appear and Mr. A. D. Simmons appeared stating that he was the owner of the property and had given Mr. Gray permission to use the lot as a place to sell fish which he catches himself. Mayor Burnett called for opponents to appear and none appeared. Director of Community Development, Joe McCollum, appeared before the Council stating that the Planning and Zoning Commission had recommended approval of the Neighborhood Service rather than the Commercial classification. Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing closed. ORDINANCE NO. 2591 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISH- ING A NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS) ON LOT 27, CITY BLOCK 4, GIBBONS PARK ADDITION, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO A. D. SIMMONS, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN THERRI- TORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A TWO- FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (2F); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS) SO ESTABLISHED. was presented. A motion was made by Councilman McGee, seconded by Councilman Williams approving the Ordinance with the zoning change to be Neighborhood Service rather than the Commercial. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open on the petition of Jesse Bridges for a change in zoning from a Two Family Dwelling District to an Office District on Lot 4, City Block 220 -A, located on the southwest corner of 20th N. E. and Pine Bluff Street. Mayor Burnett called for proponents to appear and Mr. Jesse Bridges appeared in his behalf stating that he wished to open his Insurance Office at the location and that he had sufficent off street parking. Mayor Burnett called for opponents to appear and none appeared. Mayor Burnett declared the public. hearing closed and ORDINANCE NO. 2592 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISH- ING AN OFFICE DISTRICT_(0) ON LOT 4, CITY BLOCK 220 -A, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO JESSE BRIDGES, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATING AS A TWO - FAMILY DWELLING DISTIRCT (2F); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE OFFICE DISTRICT (0) SO ESTABLISHED. was presented. A motion was made-by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman Wortham for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays.
