ORDINANCE NO 2595 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, <br />AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISH- <br />ING A ONE- FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2 (SF -2) ON LOT 12, CITY BLOCK 309, UPON <br />PROPERTY BELONGING TO ED SATCHER, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY <br />DESIGNATED AS A HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (HI); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES <br />OF THE ONE- FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2 (SF -2), SO ESTABLISHED. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman <br />Wortham for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />The Council next considered the request of Nathan Bell for replat of Lot 7, City <br />Block 47, located on northeast corner of Bonham and 12th N. W. A motion was <br />made by Councilman McGee, seconded by Councilman Williams to approve the re -plat. <br />The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sokoll presented a request for re -plat of Nathan Bell for Lot 4B, <br />City Block 281, located on 17th Street N. E., 500 Feet South of Clement Road. <br />A motion was made by Councilman McGee, seconded by Councilman Williams to approve <br />the re -plat. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Director of Community Development, Joe McCollum appeared before the Council in <br />behalf of the Master Plan Update. After discussion, a motion was made by Council- <br />man Williams, seconded by Councilman Wortham to table the item, and the motion <br />carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Burnett announced that the next order of business would be consideration <br />of recommendations made by the Traffic Commission. <br />In response to a request made for a no parking zone on the west side of 19th <br />Street N. W. from the north boundary line of West Walker Street north 50 feet. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman Wortham authoriz- <br />ing the preparation of an Ordinance concerning the item. The motion carried 5 ayes, <br />0 nays. <br />In response to the Traffic Commission's recommendation to approve a right turn <br />only lane at Bonham and 7th N. W., a motion was made by Councilman McGee, seconded <br />by Councilman Wortham authorizing the preparation of an Ordinance concerning the <br />item. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sokoll presented a report on the filters at the Water Treatment Plant <br />prepared by City Engineer, Rick Conner as follows: <br />"Specifications have been prepared for bids on the filter meda, support media <br />and filter bottoms. If approved by the Council, they will be mailed to potential <br />suppliers on Tuesday, November 10, 1981. <br />Expected delivery would be within two weeks; however, the Specifications will <br />require them to be supplied within 30 days after "Notice of Proceed." <br />The total cost expected for the project, including miscellaneous expenses should <br />be approximately $100,000.00. <br />It is hoped that authorization for bids be given for filter media (sand and coal), <br />support media (gravel) and new filter bottoms." <br />
