ORDINANCE NO 2595 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISH- ING A ONE- FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2 (SF -2) ON LOT 12, CITY BLOCK 309, UPON PROPERTY BELONGING TO ED SATCHER, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (HI); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ONE- FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2 (SF -2), SO ESTABLISHED. was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman Wortham for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. The Council next considered the request of Nathan Bell for replat of Lot 7, City Block 47, located on northeast corner of Bonham and 12th N. W. A motion was made by Councilman McGee, seconded by Councilman Williams to approve the re -plat. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. City Manager Sokoll presented a request for re -plat of Nathan Bell for Lot 4B, City Block 281, located on 17th Street N. E., 500 Feet South of Clement Road. A motion was made by Councilman McGee, seconded by Councilman Williams to approve the re -plat. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. Director of Community Development, Joe McCollum appeared before the Council in behalf of the Master Plan Update. After discussion, a motion was made by Council- man Williams, seconded by Councilman Wortham to table the item, and the motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Burnett announced that the next order of business would be consideration of recommendations made by the Traffic Commission. In response to a request made for a no parking zone on the west side of 19th Street N. W. from the north boundary line of West Walker Street north 50 feet. A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman Wortham authoriz- ing the preparation of an Ordinance concerning the item. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. In response to the Traffic Commission's recommendation to approve a right turn only lane at Bonham and 7th N. W., a motion was made by Councilman McGee, seconded by Councilman Wortham authorizing the preparation of an Ordinance concerning the item. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. City Manager Sokoll presented a report on the filters at the Water Treatment Plant prepared by City Engineer, Rick Conner as follows: "Specifications have been prepared for bids on the filter meda, support media and filter bottoms. If approved by the Council, they will be mailed to potential suppliers on Tuesday, November 10, 1981. Expected delivery would be within two weeks; however, the Specifications will require them to be supplied within 30 days after "Notice of Proceed." The total cost expected for the project, including miscellaneous expenses should be approximately $100,000.00. It is hoped that authorization for bids be given for filter media (sand and coal), support media (gravel) and new filter bottoms."
