r � <br />Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open on the proposed Lone Star Gas <br />Company's rate increase. <br />Mayor Burnett called for proponents to appear and Mr. Willard Townsend, Manager, <br />Lone Star Gas Company, appeared before the Council,to answer any questions. <br />Mayor Burnett called for opponents to appear and none appeared, and the public <br />hearing was declared closed. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Kohls, seconded by Councilman McGee authorizing <br />the preparation of an Ordinance to be presented at the next regular Council meeting. <br />The motion carried 6 ayes, 1 nay, Councilman Williams voting nay. <br />Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open on the request of Jerry Bob Stephens <br />for a Pro rata water line on the west side of Loop 286 N. E. <br />Mayor Burnett called for proponents and opponents to appear and none appeared, and <br />the public hearing was declared closed. A motion was made by Councilman Kohls, <br />seconded by Councilman Graham authorizing the pro rata project and authorizing <br />the City Manager to execute the Pro rata contract with Mr. Stephens. The motion <br />carried 6 ayes 0 nays, Councilman Williams abstaining. — <br />City Attorney Haynes recommended the adoption of a Resolution concerning Texas <br />Power & Light Company's notification of fuel cost procedural charge as mandated <br />by the court. <br />Resolution No. 2131 resolving tha a public hearing, be, and the same is hereby <br />set for 7:00 O'clock P. M. on the 11th day of January, 1982, in the Council <br />Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, for the purpose of receiving any, and all <br />information germane to Texas Power & Light Company's application to amend <br />its tariff, filed in the form of an Application and Statement in Intent with <br />the City of Paris on the 9th day of December, 1981; and, <br />Be it further resolved, that pursuant to Section 43(d) of the Public Utility <br />Regulatory Act, that the operation of Texas Power & Light Company's application <br />to amend tariff to establish a procedure for approval of payments to affiliates <br />in connection with its fuel cost factor tariff schedule filed with the City of <br />Paris, Paris, Texas, on the 9th day of December, 1981, be, and the same is hereby <br />suspended for a period of 120 days for further study, investigation, receipt of <br />evidence and public hearing was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Kohls, <br />seconded by Councilman McGee for adoption of the Resolution. The motion carried <br />7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
