1505, <br />k <br />Mr. Reaves Hayter appeared before the Council and discussed the various alternates <br />of the I & I Project. Mr. Hayter estimated that the City's portion for Step II <br />which concerns the preparation of plans and specifications would be $600:000.00 <br />which includes the acquisition of right -of -way and easements. After further <br />discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Kyle <br />to adopt the facility plan including the red and green lines as presented by a T <br />map showing the scope for the project. The motion carried 6 ayes 0 nays, 1 <br />abstaining, Councilman Francis abstaining. <br />Director of Parks & Recreation, Dick Boots, appeared before the Council and <br />presented a Community Recreation Complex plan presently being studies by the <br />Parks & Recreation Board. The plan is proposed for land located between 24th <br />Street and Collegiate Dr., north of Jefferson Road. Mr. Boots stated that he <br />would be glad to show the plans to any clubs and groups who so desired, if so <br />authorized by the City Council. A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded <br />by Councilman Kyle to present the program to any club or group so desireing the <br />program.
