N <br />MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />May 19, 1980 <br />The special meeting of the Council of the City of Paris was held Monday, May 19, <br />'—� 1980 at 7:00 P. M. Mayor Malone called the meeting to order with the following <br />Councilmen present: Travis Wortham, Addie J. Bufford, Billy J. Burnett, W. C. <br />Francis, and Ronald Kyle. Also present were City Manager, R. W. Sokoll, and <br />City Clerk, H. C. Greene. <br />Mr. Robert Burns appeared before the Council with four female property owners <br />and requested that the City consider allowance of a new petition or rescind <br />their decision taken at the last Council meeting. Mrs. 0. C. Tankursley, Mrs. <br />Joe W. Wunsch, Mrs. Gerald Byas, and Mrs. S. A. Richardson were present to <br />discuss the mobile home placement. <br />Mr. Gerald Wayne Byas representing parents who owns property within the area <br />appeared before the Council to protest the placement of the mobile home. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman <br />Wortham to table action of the last meeting and that a permit not be granted for <br />placement of the mobile home on Lot 2, City Block 134 until a survey of the <br />neighborhood has been made by the staff of the City. The motion carried 6 ayes, <br />0 nays. <br />The Council proceeded into a workshop session concerning the 1980 -81 budget of <br />the City of Paris. <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. <br />MICHAEL E.
