f5 � <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2039 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at its <br />regular meeting on the 9th day of June, 1980, approve the adver- <br />tisement of bids for the construction of approximately 1189 square <br />yards of concrete lined channel, 368 linear feet of 36 inch rein- <br />forced concrete pipe, 79. 73 cubic yards of structural concrete for <br />two concrete box culverts, and miscellaneous items of related work <br />located along a branch of Big Sandy Creek between 17th Street, S. E. <br />and 18th Street, S. E. in the vicinity of East Washington Street, <br />within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, Texas, which bids <br />were received until 10:00 o'clock A. M. , Wednesday, July 9, 1980; <br />a nd, <br />WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction project was <br />made by Dual Construction, Inc. , Texarkana, Texas, and it should <br />be awarded the contract for such project; and, <br />WHEREAS, the form of contract to complete said project is <br />attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That the bid of Dual Construction, Inc. , for the above de- <br />scribed work, in the amount of $118, 526. 90, is hereby accepted and <br />let, conditioned upon said contractor meeting all of the terms and <br />specifications included in the bid documents; and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of <br />Paris, Michael E. Malone, be, and he is hereby authorized and di- <br />rected to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the contract for the <br />above described work and in the form shown in Exhibit A attached <br />hereto, with Dual Construction, Inc. <br />Passed and adopted this 14th day of July, 1980. <br />Michael E.
