Mayor Malone called for bids for a new Street Sweeper and the following bids were <br />presented: <br />Motor Truck Equipment Corp., Dallas $55,896.00 <br />Hiway Machinery Company, Dallas 66,495.00 <br />Dallas Brush Mfg. Company, Dallas 62,727.00 <br />A motion was made by Councilman Francis, seconded by Councilman Wortham to award <br />the bid to the Motor Truck Equipment Corp., Dallas, Texas, in the amount of <br />$55,896.00. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Malone called for tabulation of bids for fencing at Johnson Park and Record <br />Park and the following bids were presented: <br />Cyclone Fence Sales, Dallas, Texas $6,439.26 <br />Glenn Curry - Paris, Texas 7,823.40 <br />Joe Pridemore Fence Co., Paris, Texas 7,789.00 <br />The City Manager recommended that the formality of requiring a bid bond be waived <br />since all three bidders failed to include a bid bond, or cashier's ckeck as a part <br />of their proposal. <br />Resolution No. 2040 awarding the bid to the Cyclone Fence Sales, in the amount <br />of $6,439.26 and authorizing the Mayor to execute a contract for construction was <br />presented. A motion was made by Councilman Kohls, seconded by Councilman Burnett <br />for adoption of the Resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
