RESOLUTION NO. 2045 WHEREAS, the Lamar County Housing Finance Corporation, a non - profit corporation created under and pursuant to the "Texas Housing Finance Corporations Act," has been organ- ized with the approval and consent of Lamar County, Texas, to provide a means of financing the costs of residential ownership and development that will provide decent, safe, and sanitary housing for the residents of Lamar County, Texas, at affordable prices; and, WHEREAS, the said Corporation plans to provide finan- vial assistance with respect to the purchase, improvement, and construction of homes located within the City of Paris, Texas, if approval thereof required by the aforesaid Act is given by the City Council; and, WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that it would be in the best interest of the City and its inhabitants for said Corporation to provide financial assist- ance with respect to homes located within the corporate limits of the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That approval is hereby given and granted to the Lamar County Housing Finance Corporation to provide financial assistance with respect to purchasing, improving and constructing homes located within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, Texas. ' Section 2. Nothing herein shall be construed to be a waiver of any building code requirements or standards pre, scribed for homes located within the City in connection with the approval herein granted to said Corporation.
