a <br />County Judge, Brady Fisher appeare before the Council stating the statutes require <br />the City's approval in order for the Housing Project to be effective inside the <br />city limits. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Bufford for <br />adoption of the Resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sokoll advised the Council of a letter received from the Texas Parks <br />and Wildlife Department dated August 8, 1980 stating that the Texas Parks and <br />Wildlife would abandon the Goose Refuse project and remove its equipment. City <br />Manager Sokoll stated that the City was prepared to take over the operation of <br />the Goose Refuge. Mr. Dick Boots appeared before the Council stating that his <br />department intented to carry on an operation as good or better than the state <br />program. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Joe DeJarnatt appeared before the Council to express a complaint <br />on the removal of a yard meter from their residence at 3205 Robin Road. <br />Mayor Malone announced that the Council would go into executive session and the <br />regular session was declared closed. <br />City Attorney Haynes discussed legal matters with the Council. <br />Mayor Malone declared the executive session closed and the regular session open. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Francis, seconded by Councilman Kohls authorizing <br />the preparation of a strip map for 17th Street N. E. Drainage Project and the <br />acquisition of easement and right of way and clear said right of way.
