45 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2049 . <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore <br />on the 14th day of July, 1980, pass Resolution No. 2040 letting a bid <br />for construction of 498 linear feet of 6' high chain link fence at <br />Record Park and 505 linear feet of 6' high chain link fence at <br />Johnson Park to Cyclone Fence Sales, Division of United States Steel <br />Corporation; and, <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined that said Company's bid <br />did not meet the bid specifications; and, <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Joe Pridemore Fence Company, Paris, <br />Texas, in the amount of $7, 789. 00, did meet such specifications, <br />and, therefore, is the best bid for such construction project, and it <br />should be awarded the contract for such construction; and, <br />WHEREAS, the form of contract for such construction project <br />is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and such form should be approved; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That the bid of Joe Pridemore, d/b /a Joe Pridemore Fence <br />Company, for the above described fence project, in the amount of <br />$7, 789. 00, is hereby accepted and let, conditioned upon said con- <br />tractor meeting all of the terms and specifications included in the <br />bid documents; and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of <br />Paris, Michael E. Malone, be, and he is hereby authorized and <br />directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the contract for <br />the above described fence construction, upon the terms and condi- <br />tions and in the form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto with <br />Joe Pridemore, d/b /a Joe Pridemore Fence Company. <br />Passed and adopted this 25th day of August, 1980. <br />Michael E.
