46 <br />Felix Gibson, Superintendent of Paris Independent School District, addressed the <br />Council and expressed the School District's appreciation for the cooperation and <br />assistance provided in the smooth opening of the A. M. Aikin School. <br />Mr. Gibson also spoke concerning the joint city - county program such as health <br />and ambulance service, saying that we are all residents of Lamar County and <br />suggesting that a referendum might be presented to the voters of Lamar County <br />to establish a fair and equitable way of providing the service. <br />City Manager Sokoll stated that unless directed otherwise, he would cancel Hotel <br />reservations to the TML conference scheduled in November. The Council agreed <br />that the City would not attend this year. <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. <br />MICHAEL E. MALONE, MAYOR <br />ATTEST: <br />JOE N.
