72 <br />Resolution No. 2055 appointing Mickey Flippen as a member of the Parks and <br />Recreation Board to serve the unexpired term of Ross Alsup was presented. A <br />motion was made by Councilman Kohls, seconded by Councilman Williams for <br />adoption of the Resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2055 0 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did in <br />Resolution No. 1876 establish the Parks and Recreation Board to <br />consist of nine (9) members, with staggered initial appointments <br />as follows: Three (3) members for one year terms, three (3) <br />members for two year terms and three (3) members for three <br />year terms, and thereafter all appointments to be for three year <br />terms with partially completed terms being filled for the re- <br />mainder of said terms; and, <br />WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the membership of the <br />Parks and Recreation, Board due to the resignation of Ross Alsup, <br />and the Mayor of the City of Paris, Michael E. Malone, having <br />appointed Mickey Flippen, to serve the unexpired term of <br />Ross Alsup, which ends June 30, 1981, and has submitted the <br />name of such person to the City Council of the City of Paris; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS, That the appointment of Mickey Flippen, as a <br />member of the Parks and Recreation Board, to serve the <br />unexpired term of Ross Alsup, which ends June 30, 1981, is by <br />the City Council of the City of Paris hereby approved and con- <br />firmed. <br />Passed and adopted this 8th day of September, 1980. <br />Michael E.
