0 <br />73 <br />Resolution No. 2056 appointing Joan Mathis as a member of the Library Advisory <br />Board to serve the unexpired term of Don Block was presented. A motion was <br />made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Wortham for adoption of the <br />Resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2056 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did in <br />Resolution No. 1820 establish the Library Advisory Board, to con- <br />sist of seven (7) resident citizens of the City of Paris, and did <br />thereafter in Resolution No. 1978 expand such Board to nine (9) <br />members, with one of the expansion members being appointed for <br />one year and one of the expansion members being appointed for <br />two years, and thereafter all appointments to be for three year <br />terms; and, <br />WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the membership of the <br />Library Advisory Board due to the resignation of Don Black, and <br />the Mayor of the City of Paris, Michael E. Malone, having <br />appointed Joan Mathis, to serve the unexpired term of <br />Don Black, which ends June 30, 1981, and has submitted the <br />name of such person to the City Council of the City of Paris; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS, That the appointment of Joan Mathis, as a <br />member of the Library Advisory Board, to serve the unexpired <br />term of Don Black, which ends June 30, 1981, is by the City <br />Council of the City of Paris hereby approved and confirmed. <br />Passed and adopted this 8th day of September, 1.980. <br />ichae a one, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />H. re- City Clerk <br />APPROVED S ' 0 FORM: <br />T.
