Hr. Darrell Guhn, Director of Pdblic !storks appeared before the Council stating <br />that in all fairness to the developers they need to know who will be responsible <br />for this particular drainage problem. <br />Mr. Walker stated that he would be willing to pay his share of the cost to correct <br />the problem. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Farris and seconded by Council- <br />man Francis for approval of the final plat. The motion carried 6 ayes, 1 nay <br />Councilman Kyle voting nay. <br />Councilman Farris requested that the staff, City Engineer and City Manager work <br />with Harrison and Walker to find out the size of the drainage ditch alignment <br />of the ditch and what the problem is. <br />Mayor Malone announced that the Ordinance would be considered on the petition <br />of Max F. Lee for the Zoning discussed earlier in this meeting. - <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2482 <br />AN ORDIM -NCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID <br />CITY; ESTABLISHING A GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR) AND A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT, <br />DAY NURSERY (25), ON LOT 3, CITY BLOCK 1-03, UPON PROPERTY OF 14HICH MAX F. <br />LEE OWNS A CURRENT OPTION, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY <br />DESIGNATED AS A GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES <br />OF THE GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR) AND SPECIFIC USE PERMIT, DAY NURSERY (25), <br />SO ESTABLISHED. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman <br />Fisher for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 7 ayes, .0 nays. <br />City Attorney Haynes presented a petition for re- zoning from 31 Properties for <br />part of Lot 3, City Block 266, from Single Family 3 District to Commercial <br />District. Mayor Malone referred the petition to the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission and called for a public hearing at the next regular Council meeting. <br />Mayor Malone invited the Council's attention to the recommendation of the <br />Traffic Commission for stop signs at the following locations: A. West Houston <br />at Loop 286 (west bound). B. Graham Street at Loop 286 (west bound). C. 34th <br />Street, N. 11, at Loop 286 (north bound). D. Loop 286 exit ramps onto 19th N. <br />W. (F.M. 79) (east and west bound). E. Lake Crook Road at 19th N. W. (F.M. <br />79) (west bound). F. Lake Crook Road (19th N. W.) at entrance to ramp to <br />Loop 286 (west bound). <br />A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Williams <br />authorizing the preparation of an Ordinance. The motion carried 7 ayes, <br />0 nays. <br />Mayor Malone invited the Council's attention to the recommendation of the <br />Airport Advisory Board that a lease agreement be prepared with the Pietro <br />Airlines and that the rental rate be increased from 45¢ to 55t per square foot <br />per month for 422 square feet, and that a weather qualified person be at the <br />airport from 8:00 A.H. to 5:00 P.M. seven days a week. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Farris, seconded by Council- <br />man Burnett, authorizing the preparation of a lease with the recommended provisions. <br />The motion carried 7 ayes,, 0 nays. - <br />Mr. Travis King, District Manager, Texas Power & Light Company appeare before <br />the Council requesting the rate increase be authorized for the utility Company <br />in the amount of 15.35% increase. City Clerk Greene advised that the rate book <br />had been officially filed with the City Clerk's office on January 4, 1980. <br />Resolution No. 2004 calling for a public hearing for 7 :00 P. M. February 11, 1080, <br />and suspending action on the rate- increase 120 days for further study and <br />investigation and receipt of evidence and a public hearing was presented A <br />motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman Burnett for adoption <br />of the Resolution.
