Resolution No. 2064 appointing Billy Joe Burnett to the Board of Directors <br />of the Ark Tex Council of Governments was presented. A motion was made by <br />Councilman Wortham, seconded by Councilman Williams for adoption of the <br />Resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2064 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, is a member of <br />the Ark -Tex Council of Governments; and, <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the Bylaws of the Ark-Tex <br />Council of Governments the Board of Directors of same shall be <br />composed of members elected or appointed by the membership; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of. Paris is entitled to appoint three <br />members of the Board of Directors of Ark -Tex Council of <br />Governments as provided in the Bylaws of the same; and, <br />WHEREAS, Michael E. Malone, Mayor of the City of Paris, <br />recommends the appointment by the City Council of the City of <br />Paris of Billy Joe Burnett, to serve until his successor is duly <br />qualified or installed or until he becomes disqualified to so <br />serve; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI7 Y OF <br />PARIS, That Billy Joe Burnett, be, and he is hereby appointed as <br />a member of the Board of Directors of Ark -Tex Council of <br />Governments, to serve until his successor is duly qualified or <br />installed, or until he becomes disqualified to so serve. <br />Passed and adopted this 13th day of October, 1980. <br />ATTEST: <br />r <br />H.
