<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2010 .
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at its
<br />regular meeting on the 14th day of January, 1980, approve the ad-
<br />vertisement for bids for the Unit Price, general construction con-
<br />tract, including equipment, for excavation, base and paving, curb
<br />and gutter, storm sewer, .inlets, and miscellaneous associated work
<br />for Pine Mill Road from 30th N. E. to Loop 286; Aikin Drive from
<br />30th N. E. to its end; and 7th Street N. W. from Bonham Street to
<br />Graham Street, which bids were received until 10:00 o'clock A. M.,
<br />Wednesday, February 6, 1980; and,
<br />WHEREAS, Paris Independent School District has withdrawn
<br />funding for Aikin Drive from 30th N. E. to its end; therefore that
<br />portion of the project should be omitted from the project and
<br />proposals therefor; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction project, as
<br />amended, was made by David Buster, d/b /a David Buster
<br />Construction Company, and he should be awarded the contract for
<br />such project, as amended; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the form of contract to complete said project, as
<br />amended, is attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />PARIS, That Aikin Drive from 30th N. E. to its end be eliminated
<br />from the project and Unit Price, general construction contract, in-
<br />cluding equipment, for excavation, base and paving, curb and
<br />gutter, storm sewer, inlets, and miscellaneous associated work
<br />for Pine Mill Road from 30th N. E. to Loop 286; Aikin Drive from
<br />30th N. E. to its end; and 7th Street N. W. from Bonham Street to
<br />Graham Street, and that the bid of David Buster, d/b /a David Buster
<br />Construction Company, for the construction of such project, as
<br />amended, in the amount of $455, 661. 00, is hereby accepted and let,
<br />conditioned upon said contractor meeting all of the terms and speci-
<br />fications included in the bid documents;
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of
<br />Paris, Michael E. Malone, be, and he is hereby authorized and
<br />directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the contract for
<br />the above described work, upon the terms and conditions and in the
<br />form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto, with David Buster, d/b /a
<br />David Buster Construction Company.
<br />Passed and adopted this 11th day of February, 1980.
