1.3 <br />position of City Manager and they would continue to consider the applicants and <br />schedule interviews at a future date. <br />Councilman Philley presented a Committee Report concerning Service Area Limits <br />between the City of -Paris and the City of Reno as part of the study on Reno's <br />request for treatment of their sanitary sewer. He made a motion that the Council, <br />by Minute Order, adopt the map showing the proposed Service Area Limit Line, <br />marked "Alternate ", and present same to the Reno Council for consideration. <br />Councilman Wunsch seconded the motion which carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mr. Ronnie Smith, Reno Councilman, expressed their,tharks for the work done by <br />the Study Committee and presented the following letter for Council consideration. <br />The Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />City of Paris <br />City Hall <br />Paris, Texas 75460 <br />Ref: Sewerage Treatment Service <br />City of Reno <br />Gentlemen: <br />The City of Reno desires to deliver its raw sewage to the-City of <br />Paris for treatment in lieu of building its own wastewater treat- <br />ment plant, if this is cost effective. Therefore, it is respect- <br />fully requested that the City of Paris furnish to the City of <br />Reno a cost per 1,000 gallons of wastewater for this service at <br />the earliest practical time in the form of a. Memorandum of Intent. <br />We would anticipate that the cost of such service would compen- <br />sate the City of Paris for its raw cost, operation and mainten- <br />ance, capital investment and a return on its investment. <br />A sewer treatment purchase contract between our two cities would <br />be developed, if such was cost effective, based on the Memorandum <br />of _Intent utilizing the services of the Paris Regional Wastewater <br />Treatment Facilities. <br />Respectfully submitted: <br />THE CITY OF RENO <br />Otis Waggoner, Mayor <br />The letter was received and Mayor Brunette stated the City of Paris would continue. <br />to study the request. <br />With no further business to consider the meeting was adjourned. <br />MAYOR JAMES M.
