2_)9 <br />r <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY MANAGER, CITY OF PARIS <br />May 22, 1978 <br />A special meeting for the purpose of holding a public hearing was called by the City <br />Manager for Monday, May 22, 1978, 2:00 P.M., City Council Room. Present were City <br />Manager, Robert W. Sokoll, Assistant City Manager, and Director of Finance Harold C. <br />Greene. <br />City Manager. Sokoll called the meeting to order and announced that the purpose of <br />the meeting was for a public hearing on Revenue Sharing Funds for the fiscal year <br />beginning July 1, 1978. The Public Hearing was declared open. <br />City Manager Sokoll called for oral or written comments from the audience. Mr. Paul <br />Daniels, President of Senior Citizetig Council appeared before the Council request'.--g <br />that $5,000.00 be placed in the Revenue Sharing Budget to be used as follows: <br />$2,000.00 for the renovation and additional construction of a Senior Citizens Center <br />which had been requested for in the Community Development Block Grant; $2,000.00 for <br />the operation of a Senior Citizens Center; $1,000.00 to apply toward the nutrition <br />program. <br />Speaking in behalf of the request of Mr. Daniels was Mr. Ray Armstrong of the Lamar <br />County Human Resources Council, Inc.; Mrs. Ann Darnell, of the Lamar County Human <br />Resources Council, Inc.; and Ike Jewett, Jr., Lamar County Resources Council, Inc. <br />No other persons appeared before the Council and the meeting was declared adjourned <br />ATTEST: H.
