Z MINUTES OF THE REGULAR COUNCIL MttTING OF THE CITY OF PARIS June 12, 1978 The regular meeting of the City Council was held on Monday, June 12, 1978 at 7 :00 P.(. Mayor Malone called the meeting to order with the following Councilmen present: George Fisher, David Philley, Raymond Wunsch, James 14. Farris, Billy Burnett and [!Salter F. Williams: Also present were City Manager, Robert Sakoll, City Clerk H. C. Greene and City Attorney T. K. Haynes... Prayer.was offered by Reverend C. D. Hilburn; Pastor of the Johnson Chapel. Ma or Malone 4sked if there were any additions or corrections to the minutes of pr vlous meetings, as furnished to the Council members. There being none, the minutes were approved. Mayor Malone announced that the first order of business would be the consideration of recommendations made by the Planning and Zoning Commission. Mayor Malone declared the public hearing open on the petition of McClanahan and -Holmes for a change in zoning from a Multi - Family Dwelling District No. 1 to an Office District on Lot 2, City Block 182 -A and Lot 2, Block B, Finn Place Addition. Appearing in behalf of the petition was Brad Hutchison, Attorney, stating the purpose of* the request was for additional parking for the CPA firm of McClanahan and Holmes. -Mayor Malone.called for opponents.to appear and none appeared. Ordinance No. 2388. "AWORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO..1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING AN OFFICE DISTRICT (0) ON LOT 2, CITY BLOCK 182A, AND LOT 2, BLOCK B, FINN PLACE, . ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO McCLANAHAN AND HOLMES, SO AS TO INCLUDE. THEhVIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1 (MF -1); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES.. OF THE OFFICE DISTRICT (0) SO ESTABLISHED.." was presented. Motion was made by Councilman Wunsch, seconded by Councilman Burnett for adoption of the Ordinance. Motioh carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Malone. declared the public hearing open on the petition of Leslie tchols to change from a One - family Dwelling District No. 2 to a Commercial District on part of. Lot 1, Block B, Jefferson Heights. Addition,, located on the south side of Loop 286 at FM Highway 905.. Mr. A. W. Clem,..Attorney,.appeared in behalf of the petitioners stated that the property was adjacent to the Red Barn Restaurant and that prospective buyers, Mr. Bobby Staples, Mr. Joel Casey wanted the change in zoning -for flexibility in the
